Social Publishing Policy

CreatorTrend lets you publish videos directly to TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. We use each platform's official API with OAuth authorization — we never store or transmit your platform passwords.

Scopes we request

YouTube: youtube.upload — upload videos as Shorts. Requested only when you click “Connect YouTube”; does not affect your existing Google sign-in.
TikTok: user.info.basic, video.upload — identify your account and upload videos to your TikTok inbox as drafts.
Instagram: instagram_business_basic, instagram_business_content_publish — only available on Business and Creator accounts. Lets us create and publish Reels.

Token storage

Access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM before being written to our database. The encryption key is held in a server-side environment variable and is never exposed to the browser.

When we publish on your behalf

You schedule a video and click Post Now or set a future schedule.
We never publish anything you haven't explicitly queued.
For TikTok, the video lands in your inbox as a draft until you finish posting in the TikTok app.

Revoking access

Open Settings → Social Accounts.
Click Disconnect next to the platform you want to revoke.
You can also revoke access from the platform itself: TikTok Settings → Manage Apps, Meta Business Suite → Apps and Websites, or Google Account → Security → Third-party access.

Quota limits

We respect each platform's rate limits. YouTube Data API has a 10,000-unit daily quota (~100 uploads). TikTok and Instagram limits depend on your account's app review status.

Compliance

We follow each platform's developer terms: TikTok Content Sharing Guidelines, Meta Platform Terms, and YouTube API Services Terms of Service. We disclose AI-generated content per our AI Disclosure.
