Repurpose one video across every platform

The highest-leverage habit in short-form is making one piece of content work everywhere. The platforms want native-feeling uploads, but "native" is mostly about a few mechanical details you can plan for.

Film once, with the strictest platform in mind

Shoot vertical (9:16), keep essential text and faces inside the center safe zone, and avoid platform-specific stickers or watermarks in the master file. A clean master exports everywhere.

Adapt the packaging, not the video

  • Captions: keep them burned in — every platform's silent viewers need them.
  • Hook text: the same video can carry a different on-screen opening line per platform; that's often the only change needed.
  • Description and hashtags: write per-platform. Copy-pasting identical captions is the most detectable "non-native" signal.

Mind the watermarks

Never upload a video carrying another platform's watermark — it's explicitly downranked. Always export from your editor, not from a platform.

Stagger the schedule

Posting the same video everywhere at the same minute wastes your ability to learn. Stagger by hours or a day and compare early retention — over time you'll learn which content each audience prefers.
